It's funny...whenever something happens (or I have a random thought) I always think to myself: "I could write about this on lj! :D" But by the time I get to the computer, boot it up and log onto lj, I will have inevitably forgotten what the hell I was gonna write about in the first place so I just waste my time lurking looking at people's art journals. D: Does this happen to anyone else or am I just an airhead? Either way. LAME.
So I just finished reading the Ultimate X-men TPBs that ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) inque_splotch loaned me so I am more or less up to date on what's been goin' down in the Ultimate-verse. (I am thinking I want to borrow The Ultimates and/or Ultimate Spider-man, so I guess I should ask Beau if he's got 'em since he's our local comic-guru?)
Some thoughts more or less in chronological order:
I WANT MORE COMICS NOW.
So I guess I'll go read me some Fathom.
But before I go:

ART TIEM.
I've decided to scan at least one thing a week and post it. Only once a week, 'cause that's when I have access to a scanner that isn't utter crap. These were actually scanned last Thursday when I was at school. LETS SEE IF I CAN ACTUALLY KEEP THIS UP. I HAVE HIGH HOPES. :D
Ow ow ow there's this pain in my drawing hand that WILL NOT GO AWAY. Or rather, it will go away for a while then come back WITH A VENGEANCE. I BLAME THE INTERNET. D:

Hokay, so I just found out that since I'm now a part-time student, I have to start paying back my student loans, like, NOW. Aaaand. Because I'm only a part-time student, I'm no longer covered by my parent's health insurance...so, I better not get into an accident or become seriously ill in the next few months until I find a decent job. >_< *Knocks on wood*

I upgraded to a plus account just so I could have more icons which I haven't even made yet. :D
And I now have a photobucket account so I can post art here.
We'll start with a centaur girl and see where it goes from there.
Oh right, boobies. Should I have put this under a cut? I don't want to offend any delicate sensibilities. :P Though I don't think anyone on my f-list will care... Bah. I'll figure this out later. You can still see the images under the cut.

Happy New Year! Just woke up so I'll be brief needlessly long-winded.
New Year's resolutions:
Art Related:
-Learn how to draw animals better. Time for a trip to the Zoo!
-Learn how to draw more Disney-ish and less anime. I'm working on that. I'd like to be able to draw both actually. This is really more of a "expand my drawing style" one.
-Practice drawing backgrounds. I'm fairly decent at backgrounds, but there's always room for improvement.
-Finish that paint-on-glass animation. Heh. The one that's been sitting on my hard drive for months?
-Do one second of animation a night so I'll have a lot for the Demo Reel. I graduate THIS QUARTER. Scary.
-Do some quick motion studies. Ten or so every day. Not too hard. But I'll have to buy a new sketch book.
-Produce a nice piece of art, not just sketches. ALL I DO IS SKETCHES! I need to sit down with a clear image in my mind and just draw, ink, and color it. Easier said than done...
-Learn how to color in Photoshop/Painter. I have Photoshop. I have Painter. I have a tablet. But I also have a laptop with wonky color...
-Just draw more in general. Practice, practice, practice.
-Enter RSOM someday. If I have time.
Life Related:
-Lose weight so I can be hot when I graduate. I don't wanna be skinny. I just want to be in better shape. A shape that's hot.
-Become more confident. Interestingly enough, this one's related to the hot weight-loss one.
-Call my friends from High School. I haven't talked to any of them in over a year... I'm not sure why I keep putting it off.
-Get my driver's license. Blah. I hate driving. But it's one of those things that has to be done.
-Get a part-time job (not animation-related). A necessary evil.
-Get a job (animation-related). I hope I can find one...Scratch that. I HAD BETTER find one. Dammit.
-Move to my own apartment. I don't even want to think about that one... but I can't live here forever.
-Get a boyfriend. Maybe. Or not. We'll see how everything else goes.
-More frequent updates to the old LJ. Hahaha. I really suck at keeping journals. The last one I had was this purple and blue dragonfly-themed thing that I got as a birthday gift when I was twelve. I managed to write two entries before I hid the thing, 'cause y'know, that's what you do when you're twelve and have an OMG-SUPER-SECRET DIARY. And it was hidden so well I forgot all about it. There was a point here, somewhere...
-And finally: MAYBE NOT SLEEPING ALL DAY LIKE I HAVE BEEN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. And I wonder why I don't get anything done.
There. Now let's see how many of these make it to next year's list.
In other news, it snowed last night :D. Only an inch or so, but still enough to make me happy. Whoo!
Oh. And I've decided I hate everything in my portfolio, so I'm re-drawing ALL OF IT. Cheers. 8) |
