Well, I got through my first week back at school. Actually, the week ended for me on Thursday. I was just too lazy to write an entry yesterday. Summer quarter's usually the one where everyone gets really burned out 'cause we're totally not this lazy any other time of the year. Really. >.>. But I can't afford to procrastinate this quarter. I've got a demo reel to start working on, as well as putting together my portfolio. *panic*
I can't shake this feeling that I should have started work on the demo reel already...I don't want to be one of those people who wait until the last minute and are literally still burning the disc five minutes before the deadline. I'm so close to graduation it's scary. I don't wanna graduate! I'm not ready! ._.
Well, I still have a couple quarters left, not counting this one. *panic attack averted*
But this quarter I'm taking four classes. Mega-uber-workload-like-whoa. :(
Advanced 2D Animation
Introduction to Video Production(a class everyone else took like, in their second quarter :x)
Project Management
Environmental Science
All these classes require going above and beyond. Something I can handle in one or two classes, but in all four?!
Seriously.
Ugh.
Environmental science...is gonna be so. frikkin'. boring. Now, I'm a total dork and actually like learning about the environment, but, the instructor has gotta be one of the dullest people on the face of the earth. You know, that rare sort who has that kinda monotone voice that just puts you to sleep.
Joyous. :/
Oh yeah, I checked my grades for last quarter and found I had straight A's! *_*(how the hell'd that happen?) Which means I made the president(of the school)'s list. I hadn't even thought about it until I mentioned it to a friend and she was like, "then you probably made the president's list" and I was like, "...there's a list?"
So.
I checked the bulletin thingie and did one of these--> o_O when I saw my name. It was surreal.
Speaking of surreal, I can't believe I aced Intermediate 3D Animation (which shouldn't be "Intermediate 3D animation" and instead be "SWEET-MOTHER-OF-GOD-RIGGING-IS-FUCKING-EVIL" class :F) That class was plotting to kill me, I know it was._.
And speaking of things plotting to kill me...
Last night, I was laying on my bed, reading manga, minding my own business when I feel something crawling on my arm.
It was a spider.
AAAGHH! Just. AAAGHH!
I dislike spiders.
I dislike spiders with the firey passion of a thousand suns.
I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.
So I screeched, and the thing leapt from my forearm to the blankets. By then I was thinking clearly enough to recognize that having a spider lost in the blankets of my bed would be a Very Bad Thing.
So after the obligitory freak-out and judicious shaking of blankets, I drove it out into the open, where I nabbed it with a wad of toilet paper.
It's now serving time in the septic system. >:D
So then I couldn't rest until I had thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed my room in case there were any more of the little beasties lurking somewhere, biding their time, waiting for the moment I'm asleep...
Now, I'm cool with spiders as long as they stay outside or in the basement. The world is big enough that they don't have to be IN MY ROOM and especially NOT ON MY BED! *shudder*
Bah.
It's gone now. Let's just hope his buddies aren't out to get revenge. :X |
